This site recognises that help for alcohol problems often results in
replacing one addiction for another and while recognising that an
intellectual understanding of alcohol problems can be of practical
help, it offers to put you in touch with a Person Centred counsellor
who can help you deal with the feelings which may be unresolved and be
behind continued drinking. I have long thought Person Centred help is
the most obvious for alcohol problems because it works on helping you
get back in touch with your inner feeling self and own inner resources
and that is definately what is lost when someone is drinking. If you
wish to be sober and be an autonomous person in touch with your
feelings, this may be the right place for you. Recognising the need for
this kind of help for people with alcohol problems is long overdue, in
my opinion.
